Sihyun and Shinhyuk, two people with similar wounds.

Shihyuk, who envies Jaejin’s family, hears stories about Sihyun through him and gradually falls for her after meeting. However, he rejects his feelings for the bright and cheerful Sihyun because of the age difference and his family background. Eventually he admits his feelings and starts to linger around Sihyun and arrange his surroundings.

While trying to organize the dark parts of SS Group and make it a legitimate business to protect Mihye and Sihyun, Shinhyuk learns the secret of his biological father’s death and tries to find the culprit.

Then, Sihyun is put in danger because of the suspect……

Kang Shinhyuk (35)

Current head of SS Group’s Reconstruction Division. Chairman Kang Doosik’s only grandson.

He lost his father and mother before his first birthday and was raised by his grandfather.

He suffered two kidnappings because of his grandfather’s work and grew up with several threats to his life.

After learning the truth about his father’s death, he went to law school in defiance. After being discharged from the military, he jumped directly into his grandfather’s world, quickly learned it’s physiology, and ran a bar and a club right after graduation. Knowing the reason for his father’s death, he accepted his grandfather’s wishes and is trying to bring the SS Group up to a brighter place.

However, most of his reasoning behind this is for Sihyun. He’s been thinking about Sihyun since the moment he saw her but hesitating because of her brightness. As soon as they confirmed each other’s feelings, they kept their hearts hidden but he stayed in her surroundings.

 

Cha Sihyun (26)

The stepdaughter of Cha Woojin, chairman of J&J Financial Group. Her goal is to run a restaurant just like her father after graduating from Gomyeong University.

After graduating, she refused to help her stepfather and instead got a job as a hall manager at Mihye’s restaurant. She has a strong obsession with her family because of the wounds she received from being rejected by them. She has the type of personality that swallows down her pain and keeps it inside while appearing bright and cheerful on the outside.

Her heartbreak is only growing because of Shinhyuk, but she becomes stronger and more proactive after confirming his feelings.

 

Kang Doosik (79)

The founder of SS Group. He came to the south during the Korean War and established the SS Group all by himself.

When he was young, he started a gang called the Kiheungpa and created the current SS Group. The group exerts significant influence over the political and business worlds.

 

Cha Jaejin (35)

Shinhyuk’s friend who is like a brother to him. They have been friends since birth because of their parents’ relationship. 

He felt lost between his absent mother and cold father during his childhood. He and Shinhyuk were delinquents together until high school. At first, he made Sihyun uncomfortable, but she gradually began to think of him as family. Now, she thinks of him like a foolish younger sibling and Mihye’s lover.

 

Park Mihye (33)

Shihyuk’s secret younger sister. After her mother, who was presumed dead, was kicked out of the house, she hid in Japan fearing that her child would be taken away.

Loved and raised by adoptive parents. She graduated from the Department of Hotel Tourism at Seyoung University in Korea at the will of her parents. While working at a hotel in Japan, she found out she has an older brother and came to Korea. 

With the help of a police officer friend, she confirmed that it was Shihyuk. She reveals her existence through her mother’s illness and protects her mother’s last moments together. Since then, she has been staying in Korea. She is dating Jaejin. 

 

Choi Jungwoo (32)

Sihyun’s senior in college who she met in the Alpine Club.

He fell in love with Sihyun when he returned to school and hovered around her but suffered because she wouldn’t give him a chance.

While living in Sillim-dong to prepare for his life as a law student, he forgot about Sihyun. However, after meeting her again he approached her and tried to confront Shihyuk but instead became a decisive help. Prosecutor of the Seoul District Prosecutor’s Office.

 

Cha Jaejun

Sihyun’s oldest brother. After a major traffic accident, his rehabilitation took two years. As a side effect, he has a slightly unnatural disability while walking, but it is unnoticeable unless one looks closely. He takes care of Sihyun, who saved him, like a father. He met Heesoo and she cured his disability and heartbreak.

 

Yoon Heesoo

Jaejun’s wife. Hospital physical therapy nurse. She fell in love with Jaejun as he visited the hospital for rehabilitation.

 

Cha Woojin

Sihyun’s stepfather. Sihyun’s mother’s first love. Fell in love with Sihyun’s mother while she was still in college and had just inherited her mother’s business. However, he broke up with her because he thought his job wasn’t good enough.

 

Lee Junghee

Sihyun’s mother. After being broken up with by her first love, she met Sihyun’s father and fell in love with him.

She fled to America with her husband to avoid opposition to avoid trouble from her in-laws. She cleaned up the business in America after her husband’s death. She reunited with President Cha after returning to Korea to continue her husband’s business there. She remarried because of Sihyun’s request and Woojin’s active courtship.

She is happily married but feels sorry for and thankful to her ex-husband at the same time. She feels sorry for Shihyuk who lost his parents as a child but still seems to have grown up properly. She hopes that the two will continue as they have the same feeling as herself and Cha did in the past.

 

Kim Jungsik

Shihyuk’s friend. Prosecutor of the Seoul District Prosecutor’s Office. Choi Jungwoo’s senior.

 

Members of SS Group

 

Yoon Junghoon(60) : Chairman Kang Doosik’s right hand. Has been supporting him for 50 years. Cares about Shihyuk like a son. SS Group’s powerhouse. 

 

 

Lee Jinseok(65) : President of SS Construction. He is thick-skinned under the chairman. Has a confrontational relationship with Shihyuk.

 

Choi Taehoon(67) : President of SS Logistics.
