Jin Woosun_ When he was a child, a group of thieves burned down his village and he lost his parents. After that he became an orphan and worked at a bookstore while learning martial arts from the Cheongun Military Office. However, he has a long way to go to meet a strong martial artist and good teacher… on the way home, he felt a strong pull towards a sword-shaped wooden doll and purchased it.

Geum Noya (Sword Man)_ A phantom prescence that helps Jin Woosun. A phantom that appeared when Jin Woosun named the wooden sword doll. He can teach him anything about swordsmanship, but can’t remember anything about himself. As Geum Noya teaches Jin Woosun, his memory returns little by little and he realizes that he is actually a heavenly spirit.

줄거리

Jin Woosun, a boy who lost his parents to a group of bandits when he was young. He spent his days travelling to the military office to learn Samjaegong with the money he earned working at the local bookstore. One day, he stops in the general store to buy a sword-shaped wooden doll that he felt drawn to. The wooden doll is named Geom Noya, and surprisingly the doll appears as a phantom.

The phantom Geom Noya teaches Jin Woosun martial arts and helps guide his life. Like this, he learns martial arts from the military academy during the day and from Geom Noya at night. Finally, he was able to enter his dream school Hoshimdang, completing his course in under a year and staying to work as a warrior for the Hoshimdang.

Power is largely divided into the Cheonma Sect, Political Factions, and the Coalition of Clans, but Jin Woosun tries to destroy evil by combining all three powers.

In the midst of it all, Geom Noya regains his memory and finds out he was an absolute being from an era 100 years ago. He was the one who defeated the combined forces of the Cheonma Sect and the Four Dynasties. However, his lingering feelings in this world meant that he was unable to leave.

Jin Woojin goes through tough times dealing with the Cheonma Sect and the Four Factions. It turned out that the descendents of the Cheonma Sect were in fact reincarnations of the sect members from 100 years ago, and the head of the Four Factions was the absolute ruler from 100 years ago who changed his body using the Soul Stealing method. After the fall of the Four Dynasties, he gathered the broken factions and formed a new coalition.

Geom Noya recalled all the memories of his past and his showdown with them. But even after recalling all his memories, he was unable to become an immortal due to his lingering regrets. His reason?

The Coalition, Four Factions, and Cheonma Sect all begin to fight and power collapses. Meanwhile, a mysterious group that had secretly dominated the power structure called the Amcheongung appears. The head of this organization, the Golden Ruler (or a new man wearing a gold mask over black clothes), is the younger brother of the emperor. He had a clever mind, but he couldn’t have the world, so he tried to control the power. He learned different forms of martial arts from all places, learned about the elixir of the palace, and learned from many teachers, and absorbed everything to become the absolute power.

The Golden Ruler fulfilled his greed with the rare monster called the Heavenly Black Dragon. When he was 20 years old, he obtained information from the Coalition and discovered the ruins of the Four Dynasties, where he absorbed their power with the power of the Heavenly Black Dragon. After that, his desires grew out of control. The Golden Ruler now pretends to be a follower of Cheonma and eats the bodies of the dead to maintain power.

In the middle of this crisis, the leader of the Coalition disappears. The Golden Ruler eats up all the followers and is the embodiment of desire. He helps them develop their power until they are prime for him to consume. Eventually, the Golden Ruler confronts Jin Woosun…..
